How much does the Borders Preferred Card cost?
Each Borders Preferred Card application cost is $21.30 (inclusive of 7% GST).
What benefits do I get for being a Borders Preferred Member?
The Borders Preferred Card entitles the member to a discount of 10% off the promotional/net purchase price of books, audio books, magazines, calendars, board games, toys, Paperchase and at Borders Bistro. Borders Preferred Card discount is valid in conjunction with Borders in store offers and promotions, unless otherwise stated.
What doesn't the Preferred Card apply to?
The Borders Preferred discount excludes purchase of newspapers, DVDs, VCDs, CDs, multimedia accessories, electronic gift cards, gift vouchers, deposits and Borders Preferred Cards. Unless otherwise stated, the Borders Preferred discount does not apply:
- to the Borders Singapore Shortlist coupons;
- during storewide and/or anniversary discounts;
- to the purchase of any product that is advertised as a 'Preferred Members Special Buy' and/or for which there is a different price for Preferred Members and customers who are not Preferred Members; or in conjunction with Business and Education account or employee discounts
How long is my Borders Preferred Card valid?
Your Borders Preferred Card is valid for 12 months, from the date of payment of the card was received until the end of the same month the following year. The card will not be automatically renewed.
How do I renew my Borders Preferred Card?
Renewal notice will be emailed or mailed 4 weeks before the expiry of your card. Failure to renew upon expiry will result in the cessation of Borders Preferred membership. Subsequent application of Borders Preferred Card will be considered as new applications.
What if I lost my Borders Preferred Card or need assistance?
For lost or stolen cards, change of personal particulars, enquiries or more information, please call Borders Preferred Member Services Department at 6235-7146, during office hours, email Borders or visit www.borders.com.sg. A fee of $5.35 (inclusive of GST) will apply for each replacement card.
Can other people use my Borders Preferred Card?
No, the Borders Preferred Card is intended for individual and/or personal use and is strictly non-transferable and may only be used by the person whose signature is on the card.
Can I use my Borders Preferred Card at Borders stores in other countries?
No, the Borders Preferred Card is only available at Borders Singapore store and is not valid for any store or online purchases through any other Borders international stores or affiliates.
If I apply for the Borders Preferred Card online when can I receive my card?
At the point of online application, you can collect your card personally in the store. Upon successful application, a transaction confirmation will be sent to you via email.
With self-collection in store, please print out a copy of the transaction confirmation from Borders and present it at the selected Borders outlet. You will be issued with the assigned Borders Preferred Card which you can then use on your purchases.
